Original big band chart performed by WSU's Jazz Big Band
I was fortunate to have recently (2009-2011) attended Washington State University where I completed a Masters of Arts in Music degree. My program was largely centred around jazz performance and composition. One of the pieces I wrote for my thesis is provided above and was recorded by the WSU Jazz Big Band under the direction of Greg Yasinitsky. This recording was also featured in the fall 2011 edition of JAZZIZ magazine.
Offramp
Offramp was instigated and is lead by Justin Glibbery here in Penticton. In its early iterations the group focussed on original music and presented a contemporary jazz sound. In 2007 the group made a recording of all original works called, "Open Space." Sojourn is the third track on the CD. Check it out on iTunes!
